STORIES THAT STAY.

For the child who never sits still.

Picture books that giggle and grow. Written by a boy mom who spent years chasing wonder, stepping over toy cars, and finding God in the ordinary.

Hi, friend. I’m Krista. I have a story to tell.

I’m a Christian boy mom who writes children’s books filled with humor, heart, faith, and imagination.

I know childhood can be loud, messy, hilarious, and sometimes a little hard, too. My hope is to create stories children genuinely love reading. Stories full of wonder, adventure, giggles, and moments families want to revisit again and again.

Because there’s already enough heaviness in the world. I hope my books are a safe place to find the silly.

Faith is the thread running through every single page I write.

And around here, there’s usually noise, snack crumbs, and at least one child pretending not to be tired yet.

My Books

For the little ones who turn simple backyards into empires.

I write books for the “but why” explorers and the midnight “what if?” thinkers. My style is all heart and sillyness and a bit of whimsy. I hope these stories live somewhere between muddy shoes, sticky hands, and the magic tucked inside ordinary days. And probably a few unmatched socks.

For the Curious

Wit & Wonder Picture Books

Kirby is a carriage horse in a very busy city. He clip-clops the same streets every day. He sees the same buildings, the same pigeons, the same people in the same hurry. And every single day he thinks the same thought…

  • The thoughts that turn into Things. School Things. Family Things. Friend Things. So his heart races. His palms sweat. And the thoughts take shape.

I write these stories for that child. The one who has tennis balls in every cushion. The one who is all wiggles and heart. The one whose thoughts seem bigger than the room.

Rooted in Philippians 4:8, my story teaches the child that lovely thoughts can grow big and strong. They are brave enough to grab the Things and lock them safely in a trunk. Soon, the mind is quiet. The heart is still.

That child deserves a story that says I see you. And, I can’t wait to share my picture books with them.

For the Tender

Faith & Heart Picture Books

It’s after bedtime. The house is still, but one weary heart is still wondering. For this child, insomnia isn’t a fear of the dark. It’s the weight of thoughts that grow heavy and uninvited. The thoughts that turn into Things…

  • What if I could see something exciting?

    Sound familiar?

I thought so. I write these stories because I know that child. I’ve watched two of them grow up right in front of me.

I write these stories for the child who was born curious, the one who asks “but why?” before you’ve finished answering the last question.

The one who turns a grocery run into an expedition and a backyard into a kingdom.

That child was made for adventure. I write stories that take them there.

The roses are waiting. The Derby is calling. Kirby is on his way.
